Everyday, the world changes in some way. For better or for worse, it keeps changing, and has changed over hundreds of centuries. Even changes about the human lifestyle change daily: technology, transportation, fashion, economy, personal lifestyles, etc. These things change a great deal every decade, and will continue to change into the inevitable future. Everyone has their own opinion about what the future will be like, whether its based on personal opinion or from what they see in the media. My opinion, however, is based on absolutely nothing.
Hundreds of years ago, mankind lived side by side with the crab people, until they decided to drive the entire race underground. Ever since then, mankind has thrived on the earths crust, while the crab people, a small and weak race, dwelled below the ground of the humans domain, waiting eagerly for humans to die out, so they could rise to the surface once more. Fifty years from now, the crab people realize that the human race will never die out, and they will concoct a better plan: slowly turn the powerful human race into a bunch of weaklings.
The crab people will do this by turning the earths men, the stronger of the two genders, into a bunch of metrosexual sissies. When they succeed in the start of this fad, men will start buying more and more name-brand designs. This means that fifty years from now, fashion will be one of the most highly regarded thing in the world. Designers will be some of the richest people on earth, and everyone will look absolutely fabulous.
Because everyone will be buying name-brand clothing, there will be a huge drop in the economy, and the average dollar will be worth next to nothing. This means taxes will go up, gas prices will skyrocket, and there will surely be several stock market crashes. In fact, the only people making any real money are the crab people, since theyre all disguised as fashion designers.
Between now and the year 2058, there will surely have been passed a document allowing the marriage of gays, which will lead to their all-around acceptance. And by this time, since everyone will be a bunch of metrosexuals, it will only be a matter of time before everyone has jumped the fence, if you will. In fact, unlike today when many little boys get beaten up on the playground for being too girly, little boys will be beaten up on the playground for being too manly. And since most everyone will be gay, there will be no way to reproduce. This can only mean that, several generations from then, the human race will die out, and the crab people can rise to the earths surface once again.
The way the world is working right now, its only a matter of time before the crab people take charge. But the future is inevitable, as everyone knows, so well have to learn to either accept the fact that the human race will die out because of the cleverness of the crab people, or finally allow our crab brethren to rise from below the earths crust and join us on the surface.
I could start this off by saying that I hope for our future we will have equality for all, world peace, no more hunger, or violence, and no poverty, or unhappiness. But, in today’s society, not even God could probably accomplish these things. There is always going to be some bad in this world and that is what makes the good seem even better. This is what I want for the future. I want people to see that bad days and disagreements will happen, and sometimes, unfortunately, the people will die over them; it is inevitable. I want people to celebrate the good in the world and not waste their lives away over the bad. If the whole world just smiled more, it would be a better place to live in.. “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade…” In other words, there are many ways to assist us in living more optimistically. Don’t be afraid to ask for help - learn from others. If you are down about something, or feeling slightly alone, people are generally a good remedy for this. Ask a friend to cheer you up; any sort of distraction is a step toward the right direction. People spend too much time thinking in their lives and if they could just go and do stuff and enjoy their company, maybe they would not be so depressed all of the time.
Art heals everyone. I wish that our world could be more expressive of their emotions. I think that people hold all of their emotions in and it just eats them alive. Even I am guilty of this from time to time. I just remind myself that I am human too and that even if I don’t want to tell people how I feel, I can convey it in a different way. In the future, I hope people realize that painting, writing, singing, dancing, playing sports, drawing, or even just coloring are really stress relieving and they are nothing to be ashamed of. They make for a joyful world, and a prettier one too.
Another positive solution is religion. I know that, generally if I am having a hard time, Hebrew school helps a lot! Part of this is my friends and just being able to talk in a comfortable place, but it’s also the idea of religion. For me, it is the idea that a higher power is up there looking down rooting for me. It gives me hope and strength when nothing else works. My Jewish education has shown me that half of the things God does for me are all in my head. Maybe God can’t fix world hunger, or violence, or cure death, but God gives us the power to move on afterwards, and make the world better for future generations. We don’t need less bad things, just more appreciation of the good things, and overall happiness. I hope that in the future, our world still has what it does now, and much more.
